Sports/Deep tissue Massage:
You don't have to be an athlete to benefit from these. Far from it!
They can help with pain, restricted mobility/flexibility and all manner of injuries. Then post care advice and exercises will help your road to recovery.
Emmett & Bowen:
These techniques can provide relief from pain & discomfort, either as a stand alone treatment or to compliment a "regular" massage.
Shorts and t-shirt will be appropriate for a sports massage assessment. Females may want to wear a sports bra if they own one.
Comfortable, loose clothing will be fine for an Emmett or Bowen treatment.
Your comfort is of upmost importance to me. Through the use of towel techniques and a professional manner I will make sure you never feel uncomfortable or exposed.
Bowen & Emmett can be performed whilst you are fully clothed.
Only enough space to fit a massage couch and therapist in.
This depends on the nature of your appointment. If you have injured yourself in a specific place on your body I will normally perform assessments on the joints above and below that area. They will take about 30 minutes. Any assessments carried out will yield more accurate results, especially when there is a clearer view of the area in question.
A relaxation massage, or general MOT, may not need any prior assessments.
Please be aware: Some conditions/injuries may require consent from your GP before treatment.
This depends on the nature of your appointment. If it is for a specific injury then sometimes up to 3-4 sessions will be necessary. This will include the assessments within the first meeting which could last 90 minutes as a result. However, if new clients book 3 sessions in advance they can save £15.
If you have booked a relaxation massage then it all depends on just how stressed you are!
For your own comfort it is best that you don't eat anything substantial at least an hour before the session.
Cash or cheque.
No problem. Just make sure to give at least 24 hours notice otherwise you might be charged for the session.
